Easter Weekend in North Bend

We had a wonderful first Easter with Aspen (and our special guest Aunt Carly)! Aspen spent most of the day sleeping, but she did wake up in time to join us in an early celebration of Aunt Carly's 30th birthday! The 'big kids' didn't mind that Aspen couldn't really eat all the chocolate we bought her.... we found ways to put it to good use... in our bellies :)

Love you -Jamie, Brian, Aspen, and T-Bird

Our little Easter bunny... nothing like a diaper, bib, and some bunny rabbit moccasins :)

We surprised Carly with an early 30th birthday celebration. Brian made her favorite... steakie-poos!

This is what our little angel was doing most of the day... look at that little smile on her face ;)

We think this is her new favorite sleeping position (thanks Aunt Carly)

Brian also made Carly's favorite dessert - a chocolate chip cookie cake... we were all very impressed!

In preparation for our big easter/birthday dinner celebration, Daddy gave Aspen a bath. This was his first one.... Mommy has been hogging all of the bath time with Aspen :)

Aspen was not happy after her bath, but Daddy quickly calmed her down with his signature 'ssshhing' maneuver :)

10 seconds later.... a calmer Aspen... nice work Dad!

Look at that bath hair.... she has crazy hair (JRo's) like Mommy! Daddy has already nicknamed her fly aways as AMo's ;)

Nice comb over Dad.... Carly was a bit disturbed that Aspen looked like a boy, so....

...we broke out the bows that Nana got her (Mommy was not happy about it, but Aspen did look pretty darn cute :)

Finally, some food after all this pampering! Now she's in heaven!

The Easter Bunny even paid us a visit for Aspen's first Easter.... nice tail :)

After all that pampering and a full belly of mommy's milk, Aspen was out for the count. We had to get in bed with her to take our Easter family photo :)

Well, there you have it... our first Easter with Aspen! It was a wonderful one. Hope you guys had a great Easter as well. They can never compare to the early morning pictures (crying/fighting and all), awesome egg hunts, and sorting of candy afterwards.... but this was definitely a pretty close second! Love you....

Hike to the Big Cedar and Easter

Happy Easter! We started the day with a little booby milk and then took a rest. The big kids enjoyed chocolate chip waffles while Aspen rested up for the big easter egg hunt set to take place this afternoon :)

Daddy making yummy waffles... more chocolate chips please!

Aunt Carly enjoying Schmooby's yummy breakfast

Yesterday afternoon, Daddy put together Aspen's snap and go stroller and we went for an hour long walk around our neighborhood before settling in for the night.

Aunt Carly thought Mommy's breast pad resembled a yamaka

Carly, Jamie, and Aspen posing in front of Rattlesnake Ledge

Grandma Great's knit hat and Momo's afghan kept Aspen warm on our evening walk (photo taken by Carly Felix ;)

After a two hour walk in the morning and another hour long walk in the evening, Mommy and Aspen were worn out!

Yesterday morning we took a two hour walk to 'the big cedar' tree in North Bend. It was a little muddy, but everyone made it!

To celebrate Aspen's first hike, we went to Scott's Dairy Freeze in North Bend for milkshakes and fries. Aspen got to enjoy her own milkshake outside the Dairy Freeze in the sunshine :)

It was a gorgeous day out - Carly must have brought the sunshine from Florida

All of us posing in front of the 500 yr old Big Cedar! Aspen is hiding in the brown carrier on Brian's chest :)

See, there she is!
