I turned 4 months old today!

Yep, I am now 4 months old - can you believe it!  I can almost sit up all by myself :)
Woo, hold on Daddy, I can't quite keep myself upright yet :)

Lummi Island Adventure - Part 1

My first ferry ride!

Lummi Island Adventure - Part 2

We went to Lummi Island close to the San Juan Islands this weekend.  It was Rex's mommy's (Melissa) 30th birthday, so we celebrated at their cabin.
In honor of Melissa's birthday, I wore the cool onesie she had made for me!  This is also the first time I wore 3-6 mos old clothes.  Goodbye 0-3mos, watch out 3-6mos!
 Lummi Island!
While the adults laid in the sun and played dominoes, we had some of our own fun...
Rex and I had a stand off... I might be a bit lighter but I'm definitely taller!
The gang of 3 (Rex, Gage, and me).  We were all born between the end of March and the beginning of April :)
Gage and I wanted to see who could hold their head up longer during tummy time...
Woo, that's tiring.  You win Gage... I need a break ;)
Gage shared his bumbo with me - I did not like it!  I even tried to launch myself out of it, but daddy caught me just in time.
Here's Gage with his mommy Kristy. Thanks for a great time everyone - this was fun!

Here I am jamming to the Daryls and doing the circle jerk :)

I love my playmat!

After a busy morning with Mommy (Pathways2Passions mtgs and an eye doctor appt - I had to get my tear duct double checked), I got to play on the mat with all of my favorite friends!

4 mos appt & 1st Farmer's Market

I had my 4 month doctor appointment today.  I weighed in at 12 lbs, 11 ounces (32%).  I'm 24.5 inches long (64%) and my head circumference is 41.3 cm (64%).  Tall and slender :)
I had to get a shot and an oral vaccine today (see my tweety bird bandaid :)  Dr. Nirmal said developmentally everything looks great.  In fact, she said with all of my babbling and cooing of late, I will likely be an early talker (must be all that blabbing I hear my mom do everyday :)
I'm starting to tell when I am at the doctor's office and I was certainly not happy about it.  Everytime mommy put me on the table, I started crying.  I don't like being poked and prodded at.  So mommy held me in her arms for most of my appointment.  Since it was such a hectic morning, we took a nice afternoon walk in the sun when daddy got home.  And we even saw some deer along the way, just like the day I came home from the hospital!
After our walk, I got to go to my first Farmer's Market, none other than the North Bend Farmer's Market with the best backdrop ever, Mt. Si!
I laid on a blanket with mommy and daddy, listened to some good tunes from a band called Mon Cheri from Spokane of all places and...
 sucked on daddy's finger :)
I love to stand up and even walk with a little assistance - it's the best!

I'm starting to chew on things

I'm not sure if my teeth are coming in yet, but I sure love to chew on things and blow bubbles.  Mommy gave me a new toy today that is perfect... it's fun to chew and is even a little cold.  I can't quite hold it myself, so mommy and daddy have to hold it in my mouth for me.  Once they let go, I usually spit it out of my mouth and go back to sucking on old reliable, my two hands :)

My first trip to daycare...

...well, kind of.  It was just the Kid Corner Daycare at Gold's Gym. But still, I was with strangers on my own.  Mommy is trying to get rid of her 'saggy baggy' (a.k.a. my home for 9 months) and started going back to the gym today.  I got to go to the daycare for 45 minutes while Mommy worked out.  I was brave and just played on the floor with these two ladies.  I think Mommy was the one who was a little nervous... she kept coming back in every few minutes to check on me :)

Just another Manic Monday...

Well, it wasn't that manic, I just thought I'd name this post after the song... although, I don't even think I've heard that song yet :)  It was a pretty good day... went on a walk with mommy and then later on went to PEPS (Program for Early Parent Support) with mommy and daddy.  We missed the first two meetings, but finally made it.  There are 7 other families in the group.  I'm the second oldest baby there.  My friend Henri and his mom Stacy are in the group too (we met at the Overlake Mom's Group back when I was only 4 weeks old).

I can be very serious sometimes...
but it usually doesn't last for that long :)

Here I am with my PEPS group... I'm the one with all the hair :)

Anniversary Trip to Crystal Mountain - Part 2

Daddy started the day off right with some biscuits and gravy.  It's an inside joke between him and mommy.  Last year when they were here at Crystal celebrating their anniversary, mommy was pregnant with me and woke up Sunday morning craving biscuits and gravy.  Daddy had never made them before and didn't have any of the ingredients, but that didn't stop him.  An hour later, he had the best darn biscuits and gravy on a plate for mommy... the best either of them had ever tasted... so he kept the tradition going (but he had the ingredients this time :)
Ummm.... biscuits and gravy... yummmmm

 I love you Daddy
I got to finally meet Rehnee today!  She is one of mommy and daddy's favorite people (so of course she's one of my favorites too then!)  Her and her husband operate the Silver Ski's Resort (that's the hotel mom and dad stayed at with all of their family and friends for their wedding).  Rehnee and Mates made it so special for the them.  Rehnee was one of the first people that knew I was on my way last year.  She had wanted to buy a bottle of wine for mom and dad last year but mommy had to tell her she wasn't drinking... Rehnee knew what that meant :)
Oh, I like snuggling Rehnee!  Thanks for a great weekend Rehnee :)
Woo hoo - then we went for a hike! I'm pretty excited!
Mommy said I looked like a bug splat against Daddy's chest.  I might have to agree - this pose only lasted two more minutes as my leggies were starting to hurt.  So daddy brought them back inside the carrier and I snuggled up and fell asleep for the entire hike :)
There's where mom and dad had their happy hour and reception.
There's where they got married... the Summit House is at the tippy top of that middle hill.
Here we are on our hike (I'm the one hiding under the brown flap :)
After a great hike, I got ready for my first ever swim!  Rehnee gave me these 0-12 swim trunks to wear... how do they make me look?! :)
 In the pool with mommy!
Not really sure what to make of this... this is one giant bath tub.  It's a little overwhelming.  I'm not sure how to play splashy splash in this yet.
Hmmm, maybe I'll try laying on Daddy... this is kind of the position I'm used to in my tub.
Ah, there we go, that's relaxing
Oh, this is even better...drying off in my daddy's arms.  What a great weekend!  Thanks for including me mommy and daddy... I had so much fun!!!!

Anniversary trip to Crystal Mountain - Part 1

My parents got married on top of Crystal Mountain back on July 18th, 2009.  Since then, they celebrate their wedding anniversary by going back to Crystal and staying for the weekend.  I technically celebrated with them last year (without any of us knowing it)... but we'll consider this my first official year celebrating with them :)

We left the house around noon and made our first stop at the Naches Tavern in Greenwater - the best burgers in Washington!
It was a nice sunny day!
Here we are in front of the Naches
We then headed on to the Silver Ski's resort in Crystal - that's where Mommy and Daddy and all their family and friends stayed for their wedding weekend.  That's where we stayed this weekend as well!
I am sure enjoying this adventure
Then we got to go on a real special adventure.  I got to see where Mommy and Daddy said 'I Do'!  Crystal now has a gondola that takes you to the top... so I got to ride in style (although I hear the chairlift is still the better way to go :)
 Getting on the gondola....
Wow - I can see why you picked this spot mom and dad - amazing!
Family photo in front of the beautiful Mt. Rainier
Daddy and I walking off into the sea of mountains and dusk light
Ah, felt good to stretch my legs a little
 One more family photo...
Daddy - this isn't Lion King... do I look like Simba to you?!
I was a bit of a celebrity on top of the mountain.  This Saudi Arabian couple thought I was the cutest baby they had ever seen... and they wanted a picture with me.  I was happy to oblige :)
Ah, the feeling of sunshine on my face
Wow - this is my first sunset... it will be hard to top this!
Watching a Mt. Rainier sunset in daddy's arms... priceless
 a sea of beautiful mountains...
There's the spot mommy and daddy got married... they couldn't believe there was still snow there this year
I'm a happy girl... what an incredible day...
 And there goes the sun...

behind the mountains... my first majestic sunset!
Oh yeah, and a little present for mom and dad on our way to Crystal :)  Love you!
